The Concept
Rather than viewing conditions through a single lens, this tool demonstrates how OCD, depression, and anxiety can be understood from five different perspectives. Each offers distinct insights and suggests different intervention approaches.
Theoretical Perspectives Included:
The tool currently covers Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. For each condition, you can navigate between the different theoretical lenses to see how the same presentation might be understood and approached differently.
Potential Applications
I've been using this in case conferences and found it useful for:
- Encouraging multidisciplinary perspectives during case reviews
- Training residents in integrative approaches
- Patient education about different treatment rationales
- Research discussions about theoretical integration

Some questions that have come up in our discussions:
- How do different theoretical frameworks influence treatment selection?
- When might combining perspectives be most beneficial?
- What are the practical challenges of integrative approaches?
- How do patient preferences align with different frameworks?
I'd be interested in any feedback if you find it useful, or thoughts on other conditions or perspectives that might be worth including.
